Letter from Elsie Smithwick to Robert C. Smithwick
Collection of Ruth Ann (Howard) Smithwick

Elsie Smithwick was, at the time of this writing, the co-owner with her sister Harriet of Youghal House in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Upon their deaths, the house was transferred to their nephew Charles. Robert had visited them in 1921 and stayed over one night with his cousin Mollie Bradshaw, and had followed up by sending them the "Coat of Arms". See his letter to Frank Hogan for more details.

Dear Mr. Smithwick,

Thank you very much for sending us the copy of the "Coat of Arms". I see it is very nicely executed, but as we have several which we are keeping till our Nephew returns from Australia to take up this place we shall not require yours of so nice an illustration. Hopefully you & your family are well.

Yours truly,
Elsie Smithwick
