    1. [S912] Obituary - John Dennis Shine, (Boston Globe).
      John D. Shine, the owner of the Porter House Cafe in North Cambridge, died Sunday in Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was 74. A lifelong resident of North Cambridge, Mr. Shine served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He owned the Porter House Cafe for 37 years.

      He leaves three sons. Dennis and Michael, both of Arlington, and John of Cambridge; and a sister, Mary, Howell of Billerica. A funeral Mass will be said at 9 a.m. tomorrow in St. John's Church in Cambridge.

      Burial will be in Cambridge Catholic Cemetery.
