      TORRINGTON ? Mrs. Lucy C. Galullo died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Galullo Jr.

      Lucy was born April 27, 1934 in Waterbury, daughter of the late William and Lucy (Galvin) Cavanaugh. She was a longtime resident of Watertown before moving to Torrington, and had worked as a bookkeeper at Post Office Drug Store and at the Oakville Branch Library for many years.

      She leaves her loving children: Elisabeth Carpino and her husband Edward, of Milford, and their children, Elisabeth and Joe Walsh and Kelly Carpino; Michael Galullo and his wife Sara, of Milford; Dana Sanderson and her husband Jim, of California, and their children, Justin and wife Barbara Sanderson, and their son Rio Sanderson, and Ian Sanderson and Kathryn Sanderson; Peter Galullo and his wife Anne Marie, of California, and their daughters, Natalie and Emily Galullo; and Christina Ahlman and her husband David, of Torrington, with whom she lived, and their children, Matthew, Ryan, Caroline and Michael Ahlman.

      She also leaves her siblings, Marilyn Keohane, James and Elaine Cavanaugh and Lonnie and Rich Atkins; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Bill Cavanaugh, brother-in-law Paul Keohane and grandson Sean Sanderson.

      A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 10, at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.


      We would like to thank the tireless, loving caregivers from VNS, whom she loved, and our endless gratitude goes to Tish Irizarry and her family for taking care of our Maye. You are our family forever.
