3 Jan 1958 - Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine (Beggs) Galvin, widow of John P. Galvin, 27 Homer Street, Waterbury, will be held tomorrow at 9:15 a.m., from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, to St. Michael's Church, for a solemn high mass. Mrs. Galvin died yesterday morning at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the mother of John P. Galvin, who was killed in World War I, and who was known as "The Songbird of-the Yankee Division." She also was the mother of James T. Galvin, assistant city editor of the Waterbury American. Burial will be in new St. Joseph's Cemetery.
