      Raymond L. Rouleau a resident of Brandywine Assisted Living died peacefully on June 16th, 2012.

      He was the husband of the late Emily Rompre Rouleau who passed away Oct. of 1980.

      Raymond was born in Oakville, Ct. on Feb.17, 1918 the son of the late Jean Baptiste and Welhelmine Bosse Rouleau. His parents moved back to their native Quebec shortly after his birth.

      Raymond returned to the United States in 1942 and soon married Emilia; they resided in Washington, Ct.

      Raymond worked for the Torrington Company until his retirement in 1982; He also performed caretaker duties at various estates in Litchfield County. His passionate hobby was raising Blueberries which he did both at home and at the estates that he managed. Later in life Raymond was well known for his love of playing Bingo.

      He is survived by his son Daniel, of Tucson Arizona, daughters, Lisa Olexa of Colebrook, Ct. and Kathy Rouleau of Torrington,Ct. He was predeceased by his daughter Diane Higgins. He has four grandchildren Suzanne, Daniel, Jackie and Kandace as well as several great grandchildren.

      Raymond was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam, Ct.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 715 Bantam Road, Bantam. Burial will follow in Washington Green Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
