Annemarie Theresa (Cote) DeCoteau formerly of Fitchburg; 67 ATHOL — Annemarie Theresa (Cote) DeCoteau, 67, formerly of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, May 07, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. DeCoteau was born in Fitchburg, September 28, 1946, a daughter of Armand J. and Loretta (Jacques) Cote and resided in Fitchburg before moving to Athol 25 years ago.
She is survived by her husband of nearly forty years, Kenneth W. DeCoteau; six sons, Mark S. DeCoteau of Batavia, IL, Daniel B. DeCoteau of Valencia, CA, David W. DeCoteau of Merrimack, NH, Kenneth W. DeCoteau of Fitchburg, Richard DeCoteau of Vermont, and Matthew A. DeCoteau of Florida; two brothers, Raymond J. Cote and Eugene R. Cote both of Fitchburg; two sisters, Alice M. St. John and Corinne Turchin both of Athol. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In 1996, she was predeceased by her daughter, Deanna S. Root of NH. She was also the sister of the late Leo J. Cote and Armand E. Cote.
Mrs. DeCoteau had worked several years in the shipping & receiving department of the Vertipile Company in Leominster until her retirement in 2001.
She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
DECOTEAU — A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, May 12th at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. DeCoteau’s family will receive family and friends from 9:30 – 10:30 AM Monday at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg.
