      * Birth date is in range with census-reported ages
      * Both Kate and Patrick's mothers were named Mary -- naming first child/daughter Mary matches tradition
      * Their gravestone indicates she and/or Patrick were from "County Kerry". Given that couples often knew each other before immigration/marriage, my search focused on same RC parish (Caherdaniel). The family documented here is from that parish and same townland (Coomnahorma - child Mary in 1865) and later reporting from neighboring Garrough with Kate and Timothy in 1875.
      * Kate's death notice in 1938 reports a living brother Timothy in Ireland. The sibling found here appears in both the 1901 and 1911 census in Garrough and died in 1939.

      Mrs. Catherine C. Shea, wife of Patrick C. Shea of 506 Hudson Street died suddenly Saturday her home. She leaves her husband; a son, John P. Shea; a daughter, Mrs. William J. Lee; five grandchildren, John Shea, Lawrence Shea, Patricia Lee, Robert Lee and Cornelius Lee all of Hartford, and a brother, Timothy Grady, in Ireland. The funeral will be held Tuesday with a requiem mass at 9 a. m. in St. Peter's Church, leaving her home at 8:15 clock.
